Mary Mitzi Lim Cajayon-Uy, widely known as Mitch Cajayon-Uy, was born on May 6, 1978, in Santa Cruz, Manila. Councilor of Caloocan (2004–2007)
Cajayon-Uy began her political journey as a city councilor of Caloocan from 2004 to 2007. Her tenure focused on community development and youth welfare, which later became a cornerstone of her legislative agenda.
House of Representatives (2007–2013, 2022–Present)
In 2007, she was elected as the representative of the 2nd district of Caloocan in the House of Representatives, defeating multiple opponents, including the incumbent Edgar Erice. She secured re-election in 2010 and served until 2013.
During her early terms in Congress, she was recognized for her legislative contributions and was awarded the Congressional Legislative and Service Excellence Award by the Consumers League of the Philippines Foundation, Inc. in 2009. However, in the 2013 elections, she lost her seat to Erice.
