Exchange Student – Tagum City

Through its External Relations and International Affairs Office, the University of Mindanao – Tagum Campus provides exchange students with opportunities to participate in both outbound and inbound programs under the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program. The university has partnered with several institutions in Indonesia, such as Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember and Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, Daugavpils University in Latvia, The Energy University, Universitas Muhammadiyah, Chaoyang University of Technology, Universitas Kristen, Charles Darwin University, Hunan University, Kainan University, Universitas Tanjungpura, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, as well as other ASEAN countries, to accept college students who wish to become outbound exchange students.

OUTBOUND EXCHANGE STUDENT

To qualify as an outbound exchange student, a college student must possess above-average communication skills, exceptional academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0, a recommendation from the Dean, good moral character, a well-written essay explaining their desire to become an exchange student, proof of full vaccination, and a valid passport. If accepted, outbound exchange students can expect to study abroad, make new connections, and learn new things beyond the confines of Philippine education standards.

One important consideration for international exchange students is that they are responsible for covering their airfare and monthly living expenses. However, host universities typically waive tuition fees to help offset these costs.

INBOUND EXCHANGE STUDENT

In the past, UM Tagum Campus have accepted exchange students from international universities and continuous to do so to this day.
