The Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas (lit. “Alliance for a New Philippines”) is an electoral coalition formed to field candidates for the 2025 Philippine general election. The alliance is composed of political parties allied with the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., including Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas–CMD, National Unity Party (NUP), Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), and the Nacionalista Party (NP).
History
On May 8, 2024, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) and Lakas–CMD signed an alliance agreement at the Manila Polo Club in Makati to formally establish Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas in preparation for the 2025 general elections. House Speaker Martin Romualdez described it as the “most powerful political force” in the country, given the dominance of PFP as the ruling party and the significant influence of Lakas–CMD in the House of Representatives.
By May 19, 2024, the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) had joined the alliance, followed by the National Unity Party (NUP) on June 29, 2024. The Nacionalista Party (NP) completed the coalition when it formally joined on August 8, 2024.
During its formation, President Marcos emphasized that the alliance was not built on “political expediency” but on shared ideology, focusing on unity and national development.
Election Campaign
The first political rally of Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas was held on February 11, 2025, at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, the home province of President Marcos. The campaign continued across different regions, including:
- March 21, 2025 – Rally at New Cavite Provincial Capitol, Trece Martires City, Cavite
- March 22, 2025 – Rally at Nuvali East Bloc, Santa Rosa, Laguna
- February 15, 2025 – Rally in Carmen, Davao del Norte, a known stronghold of former President Rodrigo Duterte
Throughout the campaign, Marcos Jr. and his allies promoted the Alyansa’s senatorial candidates and emphasized national unity and economic development.

- Imee Marcos (NP) initially declined the alliance’s endorsement on September 28, 2024, but was reintroduced to the slate on February 11, 2025. However, after the arrest of Rodrigo Duterte, she withdrew again on March 26, 2025, stating she “could no longer stand on the same platform with the rest of the Alyansa senatorial candidates.”
Public Perception and Political Climate
The Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas has been a dominant force in the 2025 election campaign, emphasizing unity, governance reforms, and national economic growth. President Marcos Jr. has actively campaigned for the alliance, particularly in areas known to support rival political factions, such as Davao del Norte.
Political analysts suggest that the administration-backed slate faces competition from opposition groups, particularly those aligned with former President Rodrigo Duterte. Marcos has taken verbal swipes at rival candidates, claiming they “have lost hope” and implying fear of Alyansa’s strength.
During the campaign, Manny Pacquiao called for unity, emphasizing that President Marcos Jr.’s programs for the country should be supported regardless of political differences.
House Speaker Martin Romualdez also expressed confidence that the Alyansa’s senatorial slate could secure victories not only in Leyte but across Region 8 and Metro Manila.
