Mitsubishi XForce – Tagum City

Originally envisioned as the Mitsubishi XFC Concept, the 2024 Mitsubishi XForce has now made its global debut in Indonesia. This crossover embodies the brand’s cutting-edge design language, featuring a futuristic interior and a plethora of innovative features tailored to meet the demands of the ASEAN Market.

Behind the wheel, drivers benefit from expansive visibility thanks to the slender A-pillars and generously sized windows. Even the 12.3-inch floating infotainment system seamlessly integrates into the dashboard, ensuring an unobstructed view of the road ahead and the surroundings. Furthermore, the Mitsubishi XForce’s seats provide exceptional comfort, exuding a luxurious leather ambiance.

Their semi-bucket seat design offers superb support, cradling passengers in a snug embrace. Under the hood, the Mitsubishi XForce shares its powerplant with its counterparts, the Mitsubishi Xpander and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross—a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine generating 105 PS and 141 Nm of torque.

However, setting it apart from the locally available Xpander and Xpander Cross models, the XForce boasts a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Notably, the crossover’s power delivery peaks at around 3,500 rpm, a deliberate design choice aimed at prioritizing torque-rich midrange performance ideal for urban driving conditions.

Despite its impressive power figures for a crossover, the Mitsubishi XForce maintains an agile disposition, a testament to its finely tuned chassis. While its 5.2-meter turning radius may not be class-leading, the vehicle compensates with responsive and light steering, ensuring ease of maneuverability.

Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the Mitsubishi XForce leans towards a stiffer suspension setup. Our colleagues observed that the suspension can be unforgiving on rough road surfaces, particularly affecting passenger comfort, especially in the second row.

Although high-speed maneuvers were not within the scope of their evaluation, the stiff suspension tuning might find its stride on smoother, flatter terrains like provincial roads and highways.
