Petromax Enterprise – Tagum City

Petromax Enterprise, the current distributor of Italian automotive brands Alfa Romeo and Abarth, has announced plans to expand its dealer network in the Philippines.

Stellantis, currently the world’s fourth-largest automotive company in terms of sales volume, boasts a comprehensive brand portfolio that includes Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroen, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Mopar, Opel, Peugeot, RAM, and Vauxhall.

Petromax recently marked the inauguration of its new showroom along C-5 in Libis, Quezon City, relocating from its previous San Juan location. This showroom is conveniently positioned just a brief five-minute drive from RSA Libis, an authorized dealer of BMW Philippines, also situated along the C-5 national highway.

While Petromax initiated operations in 2017, it has not yet secured the official role of being the Philippine importer and distributor for the two Italian brands. In 2018, the company stirred controversy when media outlets reported FCA’s allegations of Petromax operating as a “gray importer,” allegedly using Alfa Romeo and Abarth logos without authorization.

Alfa Romeo appointed Azzurri Automobile as its official distributor for Hong Kong and Macau, officially commencing operations in May 2023, with the first Alfa Romeo showroom opening in Hong Kong in June 2023. In parallel, Capella Auto took over as the official Alfa Romeo distributor in Singapore in April 2023. This transition followed EuroAutomobile’s withdrawal from its distributorship in 2022 due to challenging market conditions.
