Marcos Twin Mansion in Cabuyao, Laguna

The Marcos Twin Mansion, or Cabuyao Mansion, is a prominent historical landmark. You can find it in Barangay Casile, Cabuyao, Laguna. This expansive property sits near the Canlubang Golf & Country Club, just north of Matang Tubig. It holds significant historical weight. This importance stems from its connection to former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and his family.

History of the Cabuyao Mansion

The Marcos family built the mansion in the 1980s during his administration. Its design blends traditional Filipino architecture with Western influences. Vintage furnishings and artifacts inside reflect the era of the Marcos family.

Following the Marcos regime, the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) took control of the property in 1987. They seized it as part of alleged ill-gotten wealth. In 2010, the Sandiganbayan ordered the return of the mansion to the Marcos family. However, the Supreme Court of the Philippines issued a hold order in 2017. Today, the property remains under the control of the PCGG.

The Mansion Today

In recent years, the Marcos Twin Mansion has gained a reputation for its derelict appearance. This historical ambiance pairs with rumors of hauntings. These factors make it a popular filming location. Many local horror and historical movies film here.

Despite its current state, it remains a notable landmark. The road past the mansion goes by the name “RevPal” (Reverse Palace / Tagaytay-Calamba Road). This steep road presents a highly popular and challenging route for regional cycling enthusiasts.
