Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS)

A Century of History

MOGCHS was established in 1909 through the initiative of the late Governor Don Apolinar Velez, making it over a century old. Originally known as the Misamis Oriental High School, it was inaugurated during the American colonial period.

In 1965, by virtue of Republic Act 4247, it was converted into a national high school and renamed to its current title. Today, it stands as a testament to the province’s commitment to accessible public education, serving thousands of students from Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro.
