Barangay Madaum – Tagum City

Located in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Philippines, Barangay Madaum is primarily known for its agricultural products such as rice, corn, and bananas. In addition, the village is home to the Hijo Special Economic Zone, a 177-hectare economic zone aimed at promoting industrial, commercial, and agricultural development in the area. Consequently, the economic zone is expected to generate employment opportunities for local residents and attract local and foreign investments to the region.

Furthermore, Madaum offers a range of tourist attractions. One of the most popular destinations in the area is the Banana Beach Resort, which is situated along the coast and offers a long stretch of white sand beach and clear waters. As a result, the resort provides various water activities such as kayaking, banana boat rides, and jet skiing.

Apart from the Banana Beach Resort, Madaum is also home to the Hijo Resorts Davao, a luxury eco-resort that offers unique activities such as zip-lining, kayaking, and biking. The resort is situated in a sprawling coconut plantation and features several distinctive accommodations such as treehouses and glamping tents.
