Changan is a Chinese automotive manufacturer that has been in operation since 1862. The company produces a wide range of vehicles, including cars, vans, and commercial trucks, and has production plants and research centers in multiple countries worldwide.

Changan has established a presence in the Philippines and offers a variety of vehicles for the local market, such as SUVs, MPVs, and commercial vans. The company is a state-owned enterprise and is considered one of China’s “Big Four” automobile manufacturers, alongside SAIC Motor, FAW Group, and Dongfeng Motor Corporation.

In addition to producing passenger cars, SUVs, MPVs, and commercial vehicles, Changan has also formed joint ventures with other automakers such as Ford, Mazda, and Suzuki. These joint ventures produce vehicles under their respective brands and the Changan brand as well.

Furthermore, Changan has invested heavily in research and development and has established numerous R&D centers globally to develop new technologies and products. In recent years, the company has focused on developing electric and hybrid vehicles, along with self-driving technologies. Changan has launched several electric and hybrid models and has developed self-driving technologies in partnership with Baidu, a leading tech company in China.
