The City of Tagum has a designated evacuation center for citizens that are victim of tropical depression, storm surge, flood, typhoon, spread of infectious disease, and any other extreme events. It also serves as the location to store relief goods, groceries, vitamins, snacks, medical kit, and other basic needs for the victims.

The city government’s City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) along with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has built a Regional Evacuation Center located at Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City, Davao Del Norte.

At every extreme disastrous event, the Regional Evacuation Center will serve as a one-stop-shop for relevant government agencies such as Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corp, Malasakit Center, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
