Visita Iglesia – Tagum City

Visita Iglesia is a Catholic Lenten tradition of visiting seven different churches to pray and reflect on the Stations of the Cross. It is usually observed during Maundy Thursday or Good Friday, and is a way to commemorate the passion and death of Jesus Christ.

In Tagum City, there are several churches that can be included in a Visita Iglesia itinerary.

Some of the notable ones are the Christ the King Cathedral, the St. Mary’s Parish Church, the St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Church, Birhen sa Kasilak Parish, Sacred Heart of Jesus Quasi Parish, Sagrado Nazareno Tagum, Our Lady of Assumption Quasi Parish, Mary’s Woods Shrine, San Isidro Labrador Parish, and the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Church.

These churches offer a solemn and peaceful environment for prayer and contemplation, and many of them have beautiful and intricate architectural designs. Some churches also hold special services and programs during the Holy Week, which visitors can participate in.

Visita Iglesia in Tagum City is a meaningful and spiritual way to observe the Lenten season and reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
