On April 9, the Philippines observes a national holiday to commemorate Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of our veterans.
As we approach the commemoration of the Day of Valor, let us remember the 76,000 prisoners of war who were forced by the Japanese to march over 100 kilometers in eight days.
