Salay Community College was created through Municipal Ordinance No. 22, Series of 2017. It was declared “fully operational” by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in July 2018 and received its formal Institutional Recognition from CHED in January 2021. The college was built on land donated by the Rañizes Family.
