Araw ng Tagum City

The Araw ng Tagum City, or the Tagum City Anniversary Celebration, is an annual festival that takes place in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Philippines. It is celebrated every March 7th to commemorate the city’s charter anniversary.

The festival’s highlights include the Mutya ng Tagum, a beauty pageant that crowns the most beautiful and intelligent woman in the city, and the Hudyakaan sa Tagum, a street dancing competition that showcases the colorful and vibrant culture of Tagum City. The locals participate in the festival to show their pride in their city and celebrate their achievements, while visitors get a chance to experience the unique culture and hospitality of Tagum City.

Araw ng Tagum marks the day when the city was established, and it was declared a special non-working holiday through Presidential Proclamation No. 719 series of 2004. The festival celebrates the city’s development and success, and it is an opportunity for people to come together and celebrate.

As part of the celebration, the city will host several events, including the State of the City Address with the City Mayor, Mutya ng Tagum through the City Tourism Department, and Musikahan Festival, a showcase of Filipino talent, arts, and culture in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte.
