Franchise History
Founded in 2006 as an expansion team, the Chicago Sky was the first WNBA franchise not associated with an NBA team. Their early years were marked by growth and rebuilding before making their first playoff appearance in 2013. The team reached its pinnacle by capturing the WNBA championship in 2021, led by hometown star Candace Parker.
