Franchise History & Location
The Dallas Wings are a professional WNBA team based in Arlington, Texas. The franchise began as the Detroit Shock in 1998 and won three WNBA championships (2003, 2006, 2008). In 2010, the team relocated to Tulsa as the Tulsa Shock, and in 2016, it moved again to the Dallas–Fort Worth area, becoming the Dallas Wings. They play their home games at College Park Center on the University of Texas at Arlington campus.

Arike Ogunbowale (G)
Selected No. 5 overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft. She is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer since relocating to Dallas. A WNBA scoring champion in 2020 and multi-time All-Star, Ogunbowale is known for her clutch scoring and offensive leadership.
DiJonai Carrington (G/F)
Acquired to strengthen the team’s perimeter defense and energy. She is recognized for her athleticism, toughness, and defensive impact, earning All-Defensive Team honors.
Myisha Hines-Allen (F)
A former WNBA champion (2019, Washington Mystics), Hines-Allen brings strong rebounding, midrange scoring, and veteran leadership.
Paige Bueckers (G)
Selected No. 1 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft. She was one of the most decorated college players in recent years, including winning the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy as a freshman at UConn. Bueckers is having a strong rookie season with standout scoring and playmaking, though she has not yet been named a WNBA All-Star.
Historic Franchise Stars
Swin Cash was an integral part of Detroit’s championship run. Deanna Nolan was the 2006 Finals MVP and a five-time All-Star. Skylar Diggins-Smith led the Tulsa Shock to a playoff appearance in 2015 and was a central figure during the franchise’s early Dallas years.

Leadership and Rebuild
Curt Miller was hired as Executive Vice President and General Manager in 2024. He previously served as head coach of the Connecticut Sun (2016–2022) and the Los Angeles Sparks (2023). Chris Koclanes was appointed head coach ahead of the 2024 season. While the rebuilding process began before 2025, the current roster overhaul accelerated under Miller and Koclanes, including key acquisitions and the drafting of Paige Bueckers. The team is also developing a new practice facility, set to open in 2026.
Home Venue and Fan Experience
The Wings play at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. Known for its close-knit, fan-friendly environment, the venue is central to the franchise’s identity. The WNBA season typically runs from mid-May through early September.
