Tagum City, in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines, has a barangay called Canocotan. It lies in the southern part of the city and is one of the 23 barangays. The barangay’s main industry was formerly made up of agriculture, and it is renowned for its rice, corn, fruits, and vegetables.
However, Canocotan has grown and had several small businesses, such as malls, car showrooms, government offices, sari-sari stores, carinderias, and small-scale retail shops. The 2020 census recorded a population of approximately 9,000 people in the barangay.
