Barangay Magugpo North, situated in the northern part of Tagum City, is considered one of the largest barangays in the area, with a sprawling land area of around 73 hectares and a population of over 8,000 individuals. This barangay is renowned for its impressive educational institutions, including the University of Mindanao Tagum College and the Tagum City National High School. The Davao Regional Medical Center, a public hospital, is also located in Magugpo North and serves as a significant healthcare provider for the residents of Tagum City and the neighboring municipalities.
