Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS) – What is it?

CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) is a printing technology that aims to deliver increased printing capacity and larger volume of ink liquid supply. It allows printer owners to refill an ink tank placed externally on a printer – a refill can be done while the printer has an ongoing printing job.

Preceding technology require printer owners to buy a whole new cartridge and stop printing job operations when doing an ink tank replacement procedure. With CISS, it made printing much easier and cost lesser since they do not need to purchase a new cartridge with a new set of ink supply.

This technology has several names such as Ink All-You-Can System.
