The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation of the Meycauayan-Marilao Road in Bulacan, improving a key thoroughfare that connects two of the province most important cities.

The rehabilitated road spans approximately 5.56 lane kilometers, equivalent to a 2.78-kilometer two-lane concrete road. The project included pavement improvements and the construction of a lined drainage canal to manage water flow and reduce flooding along the corridor.

The Meycauayan-Marilao Road serves as a vital link for commuters, businesses, and transport operators traveling between Meycauayan City and the neighboring municipality of Marilao. Both areas are major commercial and residential centers in Bulacan, and the improved road is expected to ease traffic congestion and enhance road safety.

The DPWH Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office implemented the project, which is part of the continuous effort to upgrade provincial roads and support economic growth in Central Luzon. The improved access road will benefit thousands of motorists daily, including those heading to and from Metro Manila via the Meycauayan Interchange.

Meycauayan City, often called the Jewelry Capital of the Philippines, has been experiencing rapid urbanization and economic expansion. Infrastructure improvements like this road rehabilitation are essential to support the city growing population and thriving business sector.
