The Manila City government has received a donation of two mobile computer learning centers aimed at boosting digital literacy and technology-based education programs across the capital.
Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso and Vice Mayor Chi Atienza formally turned over the mobile units, which were donated by Junior Cha. The mobile centers are equipped with computers and learning tools designed to bring digital skills training directly to Manila’s communities.
These mobile learning hubs will be deployed to underserved areas across the city, giving residents — especially students, out-of-school youth, and senior citizens — access to technology education that might otherwise be out of reach. The initiative is part of the city government’s broader push to bridge the digital divide and prepare Manileños for an increasingly technology-driven economy.
Mayor Moreno has been a strong advocate for education and digital transformation since taking office. Under his leadership, Manila has launched several programs to improve public school infrastructure, provide scholarships, and now expand digital literacy through innovative mobile solutions.
The donation reflects a growing trend of private-sector partnerships supporting local government education initiatives in the Philippines. With the mobile computer learning centers now in operation, more Manila residents will have the opportunity to develop essential digital skills for employment, education, and everyday life.
