Private health clinics across Metro Manila, including locations accessible to Makati City residents, are expanding their vaccination hub networks to make immunization more convenient and accessible for Filipino families.
Under Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health), the Healthway Medical Network is establishing VaxHub, a dedicated network of vaccination hubs designed to provide easy access to immunization services in commercial areas throughout the metropolis.
Making Vaccination Part of Routine Healthcare
Through VaxHub, vaccination is integrated into routine healthcare visits, making it easier for Filipinos to access recommended vaccines in the same healthcare setting where they receive regular medical care.
“Through VaxHub, vaccination is integrated into routine health care visits, making it easier for Filipinos to access recommended vaccines in the same health care setting where they receive care,” said Beverly Lorraine Ho, AC Health chief health officer, during a recent roundtable discussion held in Makati City.
Strategically located inside malls across Metro Manila, these clinics aim to bring vaccination services closer to where people already shop, work, and live. The mall-based setup serves as a one-stop-shop for families seeking convenient healthcare access.
“Filipinos love to go to malls. Because our clinics are located conveniently in malls, it should be an access point. The idea was born to make a one-stop-shop and easy access within an accessible multispecialty clinic,” Ho added.
Partnership with Sanofi Philippines
In partnership with biopharmaceutical company Sanofi, AC Health hopes to help more Filipinos see vaccination not as an extra step, but as a natural part of caring for their health and their familys well-being.
Vanessa Gomez, head of vaccines at Sanofi Philippines, expressed the companys commitment to preventive healthcare.
“Our goal is to help more Filipinos understand that caring for their health should start before they get sick,” Gomez said.
Expansion Plans Through 2027
Healthway is targeting 20 clinics by the end of 2027, with 16 clinics currently operating across Metro Manila. The expansion aims to ensure that more communities, including residents of Makati City and neighboring areas, have easy access to vaccination services without disruption to their daily routines.
The initiative represents a significant step forward in public-private partnerships for healthcare in the Philippines, particularly in densely populated urban centers like Makati City where access to convenient medical services is a priority for residents and workers alike.
