The streets around Nepo Center in Angeles City, Pampanga burst into a rainbow of color, music, and messages of inclusion as hundreds of members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies gathered for the PINANARI: Pampanga Pride Fest 2026 on June 6.
Held alongside the Pampanga Taste Fest, the annual celebration was organized by JDN Realty Group and JCI Angeles City Culiat, bringing together community members, local organizations, business partners, and residents in a vibrant display of pride, visibility, and solidarity that turned the city into a hub of Kapampangan culture and advocacy.
Led by creatively decorated floats, street dancers, and dazzling drag queens, the event highlighted the LGBTQIA+ community’s continuing journey toward equality while fostering a spirit of acceptance, empowerment, and belonging. The parade route through the Nepo Center area drew crowds of onlookers who cheered, waved pride flags, and joined the procession.
Following the parade, festivities continued with an all-local lineup of drag performers showcasing Pampanga’s homegrown talent. Crowd favorites included the Rising Diva Ramp and Lip-Sync Battle, Pinanari Awards, and Rainbow Float Parade Competition — all of which celebrated creativity, confidence, and individuality.
Beyond the entertainment, organizers emphasized advocacy and support through initiatives such as free HIV testing and a “Hug Me” station, offering guests a safe space for care, comfort, and connection. These services underscored the event’s deeper purpose: fostering a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.
Derived from the Kapampangan word for “rainbow,” Pinanari symbolizes life, healing, harmony, and hope — values that were proudly reflected throughout the celebration. More than a festival, the event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of embracing diversity and recognizing the contributions of LGBTQIA+ individuals in society.
Angeles City continues to shine as a venue for meaningful community celebrations. Whether you are part of a local organization planning an event or an individual looking to show your pride, custom shirts and event apparel are a fantastic way to commemorate occasions like the Pinanari Pride Fest. Groups and organizations can create their own custom event shirts to make gatherings even more memorable.
For those inspired by the colorful street dancers and performers, custom team and organization uniforms are also available for community groups, school clubs, and advocacy organizations looking to build visibility and unity. From pride marches to community outreach, wearing coordinated apparel strengthens the sense of belonging and shared purpose.
