Fresh leaks have emerged online revealing Tottenham Hotspur’s third kit for the 2026/27 Premier League season, and Nike has opted for a bold purple design that has already divided the fanbase.
The leak, shared by Footy Headlines and widely circulated on social media, shows the Spurs third shirt in “Psychic Purple” — a medium-toned purple shade accented with New Orchid and white detailing. The design features dark purple pinstripes outlined in white, a classic polo-style collar, and stripes that subtly fade out to accommodate the AIA sponsor logo.
Nike Goes Bold on Tottenham’s Third Strip
Purple is a familiar experimental color for Spurs, having been used in seven previous kits dating back to the 1993/94 season. However, this latest iteration from Nike represents one of the most distinct departures in recent memory. The kit reportedly also includes a “lifestyle” edition with broader reversed stripes and a more standard v-neck collar, inspired by the 1996 Nike Premier shirt range celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The third kit leak follows earlier reveals of Tottenham’s home and away designs for the upcoming campaign. The home shirt is expected to be a clean all-white affair, while the away kit features an especially bold abstract pattern with neon pink, orange, and dark blue jagged lines over an Obsidian navy base.
Fan Reaction Mixed
As with the away shirt, fan reaction to the leaked third kit has been largely negative on social media. Comments on X (formerly Twitter) describe the design as “awful,” “unbelievably bad,” and “our worst shirt ever.” One fan wrote, “Whoever approved this jersey should be fired,” while another lamented, “The lack of thought and creativity at Nike Football is disgraceful.”
That said, a small minority appreciated the retro inspiration, with some drawing comparisons to the club’s classic purple kits from the 1990s and early 2000s. The lifestyle edition — with its 1996 Nike Premier styling — has drawn more favorable reactions from supporters who appreciate vintage-inspired merchandise.
Release Date
According to Footy Headlines, the Tottenham 2026/27 third kit is set for an official launch in August 2026, after the World Cup and following the expected June release of the home and away shirts. Spurs fans can expect the home and away kits to hit stores on June 25.
