Councilor Pablo Olivarez II announced that kindergarten and elementary pupils across the city’s two districts are benefiting from the program for the first time, funded through an ordinance approved by the city council. “This is a significant step for our city,” Olivarez said. “We want every child to feel proud and ready to learn on Day One.”
Local officials confirmed that distribution has already begun across all public elementary schools in Parañaque. Each student receives two sets of uniforms and one pair of shoes, items that can significantly impact a family’s back-to-school budget.
In a related development, Parañaque First District Representative Eric Olivarez announced that Parañaque Elementary School-Central will receive a new school building to accommodate its growing student population. Additionally, the Parañaque City government has distributed educational assistance to 5,000 college students under the Tertiary Education Financial Assistance Program (TEFAP). Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez led the distribution ceremony, where qualified beneficiaries received financial aid ranging from P4,000 to P6,000 depending on their grade average.
