St. Patrick’s Cathedral was designed by architect James Renwick Jr. in the Gothic Revival style. The spires, reaching 330 feet, were added in 1888. Evening visits are particularly atmospheric when the interior is lit by candlelight. The cathedral is wheelchair accessible from the 51st Street entrance.
