Car magnet questions
Will magnets fly off at highway speed?
Tested at sustained 80 km/h on a flat sedan door panel — they stay on. At 100+ km/h with crosswind, the leading edge can lift slightly on a non-flat panel; recommend removing for long highway runs. Heavy-duty 0.9 mm upgrade available on request for highway use (+30%).
Do they damage the paint?
No. We use 0.6 mm automotive-grade magnetic vinyl — the same material used for vehicle signage fleets worldwide. No adhesive, no chemical interaction with paint. Safe on leased vehicles and rented cars.
Will they work on a non-metal panel?
Only on clean, bare metal. Aluminum body panels work; fiberglass or plastic body panels do not. For those, we recommend a vinyl decal with 3M adhesive instead — quoted separately on request.
How long do they last?
12+ months in direct sun, 24+ under shade. Lifespan depends on UV exposure, weather, and how often they're removed/re-applied (the magnetic edge weakens after ~500 cycles). With weekly swap cycles, expect 12–18 months before magnetic attraction weakens.
