Custom sublimation marathon race singlet with race-day branding

Sublimation, Not Screen Print

Photographic-quality full-color prints that never crack, peel, or fade. Edge-to-edge graphics on every race-day singlet and tee - holds up through sweat, salt, and 50 washes.

Bulk Quantities, One Production Run

Production runs from 50 to 5,000 pieces per design in a single batch. Same fabric lot, same color batch, same print cycle - no size-run inconsistency across your roster.

14-21 Day Production Window

Standard production runs ship in 14-21 days from artwork approval. Express turnaround (7-10 days) is available for confirmed race dates. Plan backwards from your race day.

Event-Date Tracking

Every order is tagged with your event date in our system. We back-solve from race day minus your preferred buffer (typically 7 days) to set the artwork approval deadline.

Shirt types for race-day, finisher, and event merchandise

Five categories cover most marathon-weekend apparel needs. Most race directors order two or three types together - race-day singlet for participants, finisher tee for finishers, and event merchandise tee for spectators and post-race parties.

Plan the size run for your roster

The biggest mistake race directors make is over-ordering large sizes and under-ordering small. Marathon rosters skew more diverse than half-marathon or 10K rosters. Use the table below as a starting point for adult race-day orders, then refine based on your registration data.

Size% of order (typical marathon)Pieces per 1,000Fit notes
XS5%50Limited demand - mostly women runners under 5'4"
S15%150Women's most common size
M30%300Men's most common size
L25%250Second most common men's size
XL15%150Common for taller runners
2XL7%70Always order - sold-out 2XL is the top complaint
3XL3%30Smallest order but most appreciated

Refine with your registration data: The table above is a starting point. Share your registration size breakdown with us (export from your race platform) and we'll recalibrate the size run for your specific event. Most races see 60% men's + 40% women's cuts; ultra-distance events skew heavier on men's sizes; night marathons skew heavier on women's.

Design checklist for marathon shirts

Six design decisions that prevent the most common race-day mistakes. Skip any of these and you'll either lose a sponsor placement or have to re-run a print batch.

  1. Reserve a bib-number spot.

Leave a blank chest area (roughly 7" x 7") on the race-day singlet for the bib. If the bib covers your logo or sponsor lockup, the photographer's photos won't show your branding. We add a subtle placeholder box to your mockup so the team can see exactly where the bib will land.

  2. Place the year and distance prominently.

"2026 City Marathon 42K" needs to be readable from the photographer's lens at the finish line. Back-print is the convention: city + race logo + distance on the upper back, race date + sponsors on the lower back.

  3. Pre-plan sponsor placements.

Title sponsor goes on the chest. Tier-2 sponsors go on the back (left chest, right chest, sleeves). Reserve a fixed-area placement grid so each sponsor gets equal visibility regardless of size.

  4. Color-code event roles.

Race-day participants in one color, pacers in another, medical crew in a third, volunteers in a fourth. Same design language, different dominant color. Volunteers and pacers are typically ordered at no cost (give-aways), so order separately from the paid participant batch.

  5. Set your artwork approval deadline before race registration opens.

Artwork needs to be locked 30 days before production. Production is 14-21 days. Delivery + pack-out is 3-5 days. So artwork deadline is 47-56 days before race day. Work backwards from your race date.

  6. Order a 5-10% overage for size swaps at the expo.

Most race directors build a 5% overage in the largest sizes for size-swap requests at the expo packet pickup. We've seen races swap 8-12% of sizes at packet pickup - overage pays for itself in avoided refunds.

Production timeline for race-day delivery

Work backwards from your race date. Every order follows the same five-stage workflow - artwork approval, fabric sourcing, printing, finishing, and delivery.

Artwork approval deadline

Mockup v3 signed off. Logo placements locked. Sponsor grid finalised. Artwork goes into production queue. Last chance to change design without rush fee.

Production begins

Fabric ordered, sublimation paper printed, production cut and sewn. For orders over 500 pieces, fabric is sourced at the bulk-mill level. For 50-500 piece orders, fabric is held in our regional stock.

First samples inspected

First-piece samples pulled for color, print, and stitching QC. Photos sent to race director for sign-off before bulk run continues.

Bulk production complete

All units printed, finished, and bagged. Final QC pass. Pack-out per sponsor / per team / per size run. Packing list generated.

Delivery to your venue

Bulk delivery to the race expo or staging warehouse. For Manila-based races, same-day or next-day delivery. For provincial races (Cebu, Clark, Davao, Iloilo), 2-3 days via logistics partner.

Race day

Singlets distributed at packet pickup. Pacer bibs and marshal vests handed out at crew briefing. Finisher tees handed out at finish line or mailed post-race.

Express turnaround (7-10 days): Available for confirmed race dates with a 25-35% rush fee. Rush orders skip the first-sample inspection stage and go straight to bulk production with spot-checks at the 10% and 50% completion marks.

Pricing for bulk marathon orders

Indicative price ranges for full-sublimation race-day shirts. Final pricing depends on fabric weight, garment cut, sponsor placement complexity, and delivery location. All prices in PHP, ex-VAT, ex-delivery.

Marathon orders: frequently asked questions

Specific questions race directors and event coordinators ask when planning a bulk marathon shirt order. For framework or general apparel questions, see the contact page.

What's the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for marathon shirts?

50 pieces per design for race-day singlets, race-day tees, race shorts, and event merchandise tees. 25 pieces per design for hi-vis marshal and pacer vests. 100 pieces for finisher tees (the cotton-feel fabric has higher minimums from the mill).

How long does production take for a 500-piece order?

Standard production is 14-21 days from artwork approval. For 500 pieces, the production line usually runs 18 days. Add 3-5 days for packing and delivery. Plan to lock artwork at D-50 for a D-0 race date.

Can you print sponsor logos on the singlets?

Yes. Sublimation print handles full-color sponsor logos with photographic quality. We typically reserve chest (title sponsor), upper back (race logo + distance), lower back (tier-2 sponsors), and sleeves (tier-3 sponsors) as fixed placement zones. Share your sponsor tier list and we'll lay them out in a sponsor placement grid.

Can we mix men's and women's cuts in one order?

Yes. Most marathon orders include both men's and women's cuts, sized separately. We ship them pre-sorted per size run per gender, ready for race packet distribution. Standard cuts: men's athletic fit, women's contoured fit, unisex relaxed fit.

What file format do you need for artwork?

Vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF) preferred for logos and text. Raster photos (PNG, JPG) at 300 DPI minimum for photographic elements. We provide a template file with the printable area marked and a sponsor placement grid. Submit artwork via WeTransfer or Google Drive link.

Do you deliver to race expo venues outside Manila?

Yes. For Luzon races (Clark, Subic, Baguio, La Union) we deliver via 2-day logistics. For Visayas and Mindanao races (Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan de Oro) we deliver via 3-day logistics. Delivery is quoted separately per order based on destination and volume.

Can we order race-day singlets and finisher tees at the same time?

Yes - and most race directors do. We batch the order into a single production cycle with shared artwork approval, which keeps the sponsor placement consistent across both shirt types. Order the race-day singlet for participants first (lower total count, more conservative design); then add the finisher tee as a second SKU in the same cycle.

What's the difference between sublimation and screen printing?

Sublimation prints the design into the fabric using heat and pressure (the dye becomes part of the polyester fiber). Result: zero texture, no cracking, no peeling, no fading. Screen printing lays ink on top of the fabric. Result: a printed layer that cracks and peels after 20-50 washes. For marathon race-day use, sublimation is the standard.
