Municipality of Cateel – Davao Oriental

The Municipality of Cateel is a 2nd class municipality under the 1st district of the Province of Davao Oriental. It is considered the oldest town, the first municipality on the island of Mindanao, and the landing zone of the first Spanish settlers.

It was converted into a municipality through Organic Act No. 21 on 29 October 1903.
