What is the difference between waterproof and water-resistant down jackets?
Water-resistant jackets repel light rain and snow but can eventually soak through. Our waterproof jackets (10K to 20K rating) use sealed seams and treated shells to block sustained rain and wet snow. For ski resort staff and mountain guides, we recommend 15K or higher waterproofing.
