It’s that time of the year again! The Tagum City Youth Development Office is now accepting applications for E-CESPRO. If you’re looking for financial assistance for your education, this is your chance to apply!
Benefits of the Scholarship
All scholars and grantees will receive educational assistance:
- Private Higher Institutions – Coverage includes the school’s actual billing statement for tuition and other fees, up to a maximum of PHP 15,000 per semester, paid directly to the school. Scholars will also receive a semestral allowance of PHP 2,500.
- Public Higher Institutions – Scholars enrolled in government schools will receive a semestral allowance of PHP 10,000.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a resident of Tagum City.
- Must be an incoming freshman or currently enrolled college student for SY 2024-2025.
- Must have a combined gross income of parents/guardians not exceeding PHP 200,000.
- Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship grant or financial assistance from any foundation or government program.
- Must have no grades below 80% in any subject and a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85%.
- Open to students from public and private higher education institutions within the Davao Region.
- Priority courses include Medical Courses, Engineering Courses, Psychology-related Courses, Culinary and Food Technology, and Agriculture. However, other courses are still welcome to apply.
Initial Documentary Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Application letter addressed to the City Mayor stating the reason and need for the scholarship.
- Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate or Local Birth Certificate.
- Certificate of Indigency.
- Voter’s Certification or Barangay Certificate of Residency.
- For incoming college students: Certified true copy of grades from the 1st semester of SY 2024-2025 (Report Card/Form 137 or equivalent document).
- For currently enrolled college students: Certified true copy of Certificate of Grades or similar document from the last semester attended.
Important Notes
- Requirements will be accepted from March 10, 2025, to March 21, 2025, between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Tagum City Youth Development Office (TCYDO), 4th Floor, New City Hall.
- Ensure all documents are prepared before submission and placed in a green folder.
- Additional requirements will be requested if you qualify for the scholarship.
- Wait for the announcement of qualified applicants who will take the examination.
- The scholarship will take effect in the 1st semester of SY 2025-2026.
