The Municipality of Mawab is situated in the southeastern part of the Davao de Oro province in the Philippines, approximately 52 kilometers from the provincial capital of Nabunturan. It is comprised of 14 barangays and covers a total land area of 25,700 hectares. Mawab is famous for its natural scenic spots, including waterfalls, hot springs, and caves, which attract nature enthusiasts and tourists. The town is also renowned for its agricultural produce, including rice, corn, and bananas.
