Montevista, formerly known as Caumanga and San Jose, is a third-class municipality in the province of Davao De Oro, Philippines. It attained its status as a regular municipality on 18 June 1966 through Republic Act No. 4808. The municipality consists of the six original barangays, namely San Jose, New Visayas, Camansi, Bankerohan Norte, Bankerohan Sur, and Linoan. Montevista continues to flourish as a vibrant community within the province of Davao De Oro, contributing to its growth and development.
