Vilnius Airport has officially opened VNO Plaza, transforming its former departures terminal into the airport’s largest commercial space and a stunning showcase for Lithuanian products and culture.
The 15 million euro renovation spans over 3,000 square meters of new retail and dining space, anchored by the largest Duty-Free store in the Baltics operated by Heinemann. At 1,300 square meters, the store is 55 percent larger than its predecessor and dedicates more than 200 square meters exclusively to Lithuanian goods including food, beverages, textiles, perfumery, and artisan products from local producers.
The new space is designed as a continuation of Vilnius modern departure terminal, with architecture and finishing materials that create a seamless, bright, and welcoming atmosphere. Traditional Lithuanian ethnographic elements and ornaments are woven into the interior design, giving international travelers an authentic taste of Lithuanian heritage from the moment they step airside.
Beyond the Duty-Free flagship, VNO Plaza features a curated mix of retail and dining options. Passengers can browse niche perfumery, jewelry and accessories, grab a quick bite, or sit down for authentic Lithuanian dishes at Le Grand Comptoir. A Narvesen convenience store offers travel essentials, organic coffee, and fresh daily food preparations.
The timing of the opening aligns with surging passenger numbers. In the first five months of this year, Vilnius Airport served over 2 million passengers, nearly 10 percent more than the same period in 2025, with each month setting a new all-time record. The additional commercial revenue from VNO Plaza is expected to generate approximately 10 million euros annually.
With textiles and Lithuanian-made products prominently featured in the airport flagship retail space, VNO Plaza represents a powerful platform for Lithuanian brands to reach an international audience.
