The City Government of Panabo in Davao del Norte is planning to launch industrial estate tours showcasing the various manufacturing plants and facilities at the Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE), one of the most prominent industrial zones in the Davao Region.
The initiative aims to highlight Panabo City’s growing industrial sector and attract potential investors, business partners, and skilled workers to the area. The tours will give visitors a firsthand look at the operations of manufacturing plants within the estate, demonstrating the city’s capacity for industrial growth and economic development.
Anflo Industrial Estate, located in Barangay San Pedro, Panabo City, is home to a diverse range of manufacturing plants and industrial facilities. The estate has become a key driver of employment and economic activity in Davao del Norte, providing thousands of jobs to local residents.
The industrial estate tour program is expected to complement Panabo City’s existing tourism offerings, which include its famous banana plantations, cultural festivals, and natural attractions. By adding an industrial tourism component, the city aims to diversify its tourism portfolio and attract a different segment of visitors.
The initiative also aligns with the city’s broader economic development strategy, which seeks to balance agricultural heritage with industrial modernization. Panabo City, often called the Banana Capital of the Philippines, has been steadily expanding its industrial base in recent years.
Earlier this year, Anflo Industrial Estate partnered with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) to host a job fair that drew an estimated 2,000 applicants, underscoring the estate’s role as a major employment hub in the region.
Details about the industrial estate tours, including schedules and registration requirements, will be announced by the Panabo City government in the coming weeks.
