Tagum City once again proved its commitment to sports development as hundreds of young athletes gathered for the annual Youth Sports Festival held at the Davao Regional Sports Complex. The event, organized by the City Government of Tagum in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) Davao del Norte, featured competitions in basketball, volleyball, athletics, badminton, and chess.

We are seeing more and more kids who are passionate about sports, and the city government support through facilities and programs makes a huge difference, said Coach Marlon Santos, who has been training young basketball players in the city for over a decade.
The festival also served as a scouting ground for regional athletic meets, with standout performers set to represent Tagum City in the upcoming Davao Regional Athletic Association Meet. Parents and teachers cheered from the sidelines, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere throughout the event.
