The City of Mati in Davao Oriental officially opens the Pujada Bay Festival 2026 today, June 12, launching eight days of environmental advocacy, cultural presentations, sports competitions, and community celebrations that will run through June 19.
Now on its 22nd year, the Pujada Bay Festival was first launched in 2004 to promote and protect the Pujada Bay Protected Landscape and Seascape—a 21,200-hectare marine protected area recognized as one of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World. The annual event has since grown into one of Mindanao’s most anticipated summer festivals, drawing street dancers, boat racers, skimboarders, and tourists from across the country.
Running concurrently with the Pujada Bay Festival is the Rajah Sports Fest (June 10–19), a biannual sports festival named after Davao Oriental basketball legend Francisco “Rajah of Rebound” Garcia Rabat, who helped the Philippines win bronze at the 1954 FIBA World Championship. The sports fest features basketball (5×5 and 3×3), volleyball, beach volleyball, football, athletics, and other disciplines, bringing together athletes from Mati’s 26 barangays.
Whether your team is competing in the Rajah Sports Fest or your organization is joining the festival street dance, custom event shirts and team uniforms are the perfect way to show your Mati pride. Browse our full selection of sports jerseys and athletic wear for your basketball, volleyball, or football team.
Other major activities in this week-long celebration include the BAY DEEP MATI Freediving Festival (June 17–19), the country’s first freediving festival launched in 2022 in partnership with the Department of Tourism, and the Tour de Mati cycling event on June 19. The festivities culminate in Citihood Day on June 19, marking Mati’s anniversary as a city.
Now is the perfect time to represent your barangay, school, or organization with custom-printed community shirts and org uniforms. From sports team kits to festival souvenir shirts, Mati’s celebration season is all about coming together in style.
For schools and community groups joining the parade or competitions, personalized school shirts and uniforms help build team spirit and showcase your identity. Mati City continues to prove that festivals and sports are powerful platforms for community unity, environmental stewardship, and local pride.
