Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) continues to extend its mission of service beyond the classroom, as its Community Extension Services (CES) Director Ivy B. Yecyec took center stage in a major fundraising event aimed at supporting underprivileged indigenous students across the Philippines.
A Night of Bayanihan for the Youth
Director Yecyec served as the official emcee and facilitator of the JollyBox Global Inaugural Fundraiser Gala Philippines, held on June 13, 2026, at Aberdeen Court, Great Eastern Hotel in Quezon City. Carrying the theme “Bayanihan Para sa Kabataan” (Unity for the Youth), the gala brought together educators, community leaders, and advocates united by a common cause — raising funds for marginalized learners in remote and indigenous communities.
The event featured cultural performances celebrating the rich diversity of Filipino heritage, organizational presentations highlighting years of humanitarian work, and the recognition of volunteer leaders who have dedicated themselves to JollyBox Global mission.
12 Years of Humanitarian Service
JollyBox Global Executive Officer Josette R. Bajit took the stage to highlight the organization 12 years of providing educational opportunities to underserved communities throughout the country. Volunteers also shared inspiring stories from the field, recounting the impact of their programs on the lives of indigenous youth and their families.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt message of gratitude, a solidarity photo session, and live performances by young local artists — a fitting finale that underscored the event core message of hope and collective action.
NDKC Commitment to Community Development
Through Director Yecyec participation, NDKC reinforces its commitment to promoting education, community development, and social responsibility that extends far beyond the walls of its Kidapawan City campus. The college has long been recognized as one of the leading educational institutions in the SOCCSKSARGEN region, producing graduates who contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
The fundraiser aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — causes that NDKC actively champions through its academic and community extension programs.
