The City of Koronadal has once again proven its athletic excellence on the regional stage. The city delegation, known as the Red Armours, proudly secured a 3rd-place overall finish at the recently concluded SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Athletic Association (SRAA) Meet 2026, held in the Province of Sultan Kudarat.
Driven by grit and determination, Koronadal young athletes delivered an exceptional performance, amassing a remarkable total of 62 gold, 74 silver, and 80 bronze medals across regular, demonstration, and para games. This achievement marks a significant improvement from the city performance in previous years.
The City Government of Koronadal, under the leadership of Mayor Erlinda P. Araquil, ensured that every athlete and coach was fully equipped with over 10.6 million pesos in budget allocation covering training, food, accommodation, transportation, billeting, uniforms, and allowances.
In recognition of their hard work, the city government awarded cash incentives to medalists: 5,000 pesos for each gold medal, 4,000 for silver, and 3,000 for bronze. This accomplishment proves that with discipline, unity, and strong institutional support, Koronadal athletes are ready to compete among the nation best.
