Koronadal City is gearing up for one of the biggest sporting events in South Cotabato as the T’nalak Dreamweavers Marathon 2026 officially reaches its target of 1,500 registered runners. This flagship event is part of the province’s 60th Foundation Anniversary and 27th T’nalak Festival celebration.
The marathon takes place on June 28, 2026, kicking off at midnight at the South Cotabato Sports Complex in Koronadal City. Runners from across the country including Metro Manila are expected to converge on the Soccsksargen capital.
Four Race Categories
The event features four categories: the 42K marathon (turnaround in Surallah), 21K half-marathon (turnaround at Armando Resort in Banga), 10K run (starting 4:30 AM), and 5K fun run (starting 4:35 AM). Around 300 runners are expected in the premier 42K category.
Technical Race Director Allan De Lima said race kit distribution began June 15. Participants include local runners from Koronadal, South Cotabato, nearby provinces, and Manila runners combining the race with festival tourism.
Sports Tourism Boost
The marathon promotes sports tourism while showcasing South Cotabato’s culture and hospitality. With 1,500 runners plus families and supporters, local businesses including hotels, restaurants, and transport services are expected to benefit significantly.
