The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) has launched a June initiative inviting agri-food and agri-tech stakeholders to join the European NEXTCHAIN matchmaking platform, creating new opportunities for innovation and cross-border collaboration across the island and beyond.

As the coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus and a member of the Digital Innovation Hub Cyprus, Keve is positioning Cyprus at the forefront of Europes agri-tech revolution. The initiative targets companies and organizations engaged in the agri-food sector and its digital transformation, a space where Cyprus has significant untapped potential.

What Is NEXTCHAIN?

NEXTCHAIN is a European matchmaking and collaboration platform designed to help businesses identify new opportunities, establish international partnerships, and accelerate innovation across multiple sectors. The June edition focuses specifically on agri-food and agri-tech, recognized as one of Europes fastest-growing sectors where digitalization, artificial intelligence, and smart technologies are increasingly central to competitiveness and sustainability.

Participants will have the chance to present innovative agri-tech solutions, including drones, sensors, precision farming technologies, and data-driven decision-support systems. The platform enables companies to connect with hundreds of potential partners through international matchmaking meetings aimed at building meaningful business relationships.

Upcoming Agri Food Showcase on June 24

A dedicated online matchmaking event titled Agri Food Showcase is scheduled for June 24, 2026, offering an additional platform for presenting innovative agri-food solutions and connecting with partners across Europe. This event represents a significant opportunity for Cypriot businesses to gain Europe-wide visibility and access to relevant technology partners.

Who Should Participate?

The initiative is open to a broad range of stakeholders, including agri-food companies, agri-tech developers and startups, food industry innovators, and companies offering digitalization and artificial intelligence solutions. Researchers, clusters, European Digital Innovation Hubs, and other ecosystem stakeholders are also encouraged to take part.

Registration for both the NEXTCHAIN platform and the showcase event is available online. The chamber has emphasized that the process is designed to be simple and transparent, allowing immediate networking and engagement following registration.

For Cyprus, an island with a rich agricultural heritage and a growing technology sector, this initiative represents a bridge between tradition and innovation. Participants stand to benefit from expanded networks, new collaboration opportunities, and a chance to position Cypriot agriculture within Europes next wave of innovation.
