Barcelona’s renowned electronic music and digital arts festival Sónar returns for its 33rd edition from June 18 to 20, 2026, with a groundbreaking change: for the first time in its 32-year history, all programming takes place at a single venue. The festival moves entirely to Fira Gran Via in L’Hospitalet, merging its historic day and night formats into one continuous 14-hour music experience.

A New Chapter for Sónar

The 2026 edition marks a significant transition for the festival. After the departure of its three founding directors in October 2025, new CEO François Jozic leads the organization under majority owner Superstruct Entertainment. The structural change to a single venue — driven by ongoing renovations at the traditional Fira de Montjuïc site — represents the most dramatic format shift since Sónar was founded in 1994.

With over 100 performances across six stages on the two main days (Friday and Saturday, June 19–20), and four stages on Thursday June 18, Sónar 2026 packs non-stop music from late afternoon until 7 AM. The lineup spans techno, house, drum and bass, experimental, hip-hop, and live electronic acts.

Star-Studded Lineup

Headliners include legendary British electronic act The Prodigy, London rapper and producer Skepta, Belgian techno powerhouse Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Chris Stussy, and the influential industrial-electronic duo Cabaret Voltaire. Kelis, WhoMadeWho, Modeselektor, Joy Orbison, Nia Archives, Dom Dolla, and Speedy J round out a diverse bill that blends global stars with emerging talent.

The festival also features cutting-edge AI-powered performances, including Daito Manabe’s collaboration with Google DeepMind, Reinier Zonneveld’s holographic R2 show, and the 360º improvisation project STOOR Live. These boundary-pushing acts exemplify Sónar’s unique position at the intersection of music, creativity, and technology.

Merchandise and Festival Fashion

Sónar has long been a style destination for Barcelona festivalgoers, and with its new single-venue format, the official merchandise experience promises to be more centralized and accessible than ever. Festival-goers can expect exclusive Sónar 2026 t-shirts, hoodies, and accessories featuring the festival’s distinctive visual identity. For the custom apparel enthusiast, Barcelona’s festival season — running from Primavera Sound in early June through Sónar in mid-June — offers a perfect opportunity to express personal style through printed tees, embroidered patches, and limited-edition drops.

Sónar+D and OFFSónar

Running alongside the main festival, Sónar+D takes place Thursday and Friday at its new home, the historic Llotja de Mar in Barcelona’s old town. The conference explores the shared spaces between creativity, innovation, and technology through talks, panels, exhibitions, and performances. Meanwhile, OFFSónar parties at Poble Espanyol run June 18–21 with events from top electronic music labels including Keinemusik, elrow, and Fuse London.

With tickets starting at €49 for single-day passes and a SonarPass from €184 for the full experience, Sónar 2026 promises to be an unforgettable celebration of electronic music and digital culture at the heart of Barcelona.
