The Tour de Suisse 2026 is here, and cycling fans across Switzerland and beyond are gearing up for one of the most exciting editions in recent memory. From June 17 to June 21, 2026, the 89th edition of this legendary UCI World Tour stage race will take riders through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Alps.

What is New in 2026

This year edition has been reshaped into a shorter, sharper five-stage format. Instead of the traditional eight days, the race now runs Wednesday through Sunday, with the men and women races running concurrently on largely parallel routes for the first time. Sports Director David Loosli has designed a route that leaves virtually no room to recover.

The Route at a Glance

The race kicks off in the Italian town of Sondrio with a demanding hilly circuit. Stage 2 brings punchy terrain along Lago Maggiore in Locarno, while Stage 3 heads to Bad Ragaz for a tactical battle on the Schwaegalp climb. Stage 4 is a fast individual time trial in Aarburg covering 23.8 km, and the Queen Stage on Sunday finishes with a brutal mountain finale in Villars-sur-Ollon, featuring over 4,000 metres of climbing for the men and around 3,000 for the women.

Star Power on the Start Line

Slovenian superstar Primoz Roglic has confirmed his participation, joining a stacked startlist of WorldTour talent. The race serves as the final major preparation event before the Tour de France.
