The Kyiv International Short Film Festival (KISFF) has officially opened submissions for its 15th edition, set to take place September 17-23, 2026 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Now in its milestone 15th year, KISFF has grown into one of Ukraine’s most important platforms for emerging and established filmmakers from around the world.
Submission Details
Filmmakers can submit their short films through Filmfreeway, Shortfilmdepot, or Festhome. The late deadline is July 10, 2026, giving creators plenty of time to prepare and submit their work. The festival accepts short films across all genres and styles, with a focus on innovative storytelling and diverse voices.
A Growing Cultural Force
Since its founding, KISFF has brought together filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences in Kyiv’s vibrant cultural scene. The festival screens dozens of short films from Ukrainian and international directors, offering audiences a chance to discover new talent and fresh perspectives. Screenings take place at venues across Kyiv, turning the city into a hub of cinematic creativity for a full week each September.
Supported by International Partners
KISFF is supported by the European Union, along with cultural institutes from the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, and other partners. This international backing helps bring a global lineup of films to Kyiv audiences and supports Ukrainian filmmakers in reaching new audiences abroad.
