Hungarian businesses are setting their sights on the Gulf region following a landmark international trade event that brought together industry leaders, investors, and government officials from both Hungary and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Bahrain-Hungary Industrial Forum 2026
On June 10, 2026, the Bahrain-Hungary Industrial Forum 2026 was successfully held at the prestigious The Gulf Hotel Bahrain. The forum was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The event was organised by the Bahrain Businessmen Association in cooperation with Bahrain Hungary Trade Events under the leadership of Tamas Hovany. It welcomed a high-level Hungarian industrial and commercial delegation comprising more than ten companies specialising in engineering, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and logistics solutions.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
During the opening ceremony, the Bahraini Minister affirmed the strength of bilateral relations between the two nations. He highlighted the importance of expanding economic and industrial cooperation in support of sustainable development goals, quality partnerships, and value-added investments. He described the forum as an important platform for strengthening cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
Key Sectors of Cooperation
The programme featured panel discussions on investment opportunities in food production technology, water treatment, oil and gas, technological innovation, industrial automation, and energy efficiency. The forum also featured bilateral business meetings between Bahraini investors and their Hungarian counterparts.
A Growing Economic Partnership
Mr. Ahmed Abdulla Bin Hindi, Chairman of the Bahrain Businessmen Association, emphasised that the support enjoyed by the private sector in Bahrain strengthens investor confidence and creates a stimulating environment for building strategic partnerships with international markets.
The successful forum marks another milestone in efforts to deepen economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Hungary. The Gulf region represents a rapidly growing market for Hungarian expertise in technology, engineering, and renewable energy.
