The Nike Outdoor Nationals (NON) 2026 is here, and it is bigger than ever. From June 18-22, the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation (NSAF) hosts the premier outdoor high school track and field championship at the legendary Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon.

Over 6,400 Athletes from Around the World

This year’s edition brings together more than 6,400 track and field athletes representing all 50 U.S. states, four Canadian provinces, and international competitors from Namibia, Singapore, and South Korea. The four-day spectacle features 25 U.S. #1 ranked athletes, including four national record holders, making it one of the most competitive high school meets in history.

Record-Breaking Headliners

The boys’ sprint events are headlined by Tate Taylor, the Texas Tech signee who shattered the 200-meter high school national record with a stunning 19.97 clocking — becoming the first non-professional high schooler to break the 20-second barrier. Taylor also owns three wind-legal 100-meter marks between 10.04 and 10.11, plus a wind-aided 9.95. He is already making waves this week, winning the U20 100m title on Thursday night.

Pushing him every step of the way is teammate Jake Odey-Jordan, the Nike Indoor Nationals champion who recently clocked a wind-aided 9.98. Texas sophomore Dillon Mitchell, himself a multiple sub-10 performer, rounds out what is arguably the strongest high school sprint field ever assembled.

In the hurdles, Andrew Jones arrives as the greatest 110-meter and 300-meter hurdler in high school history. His 34.72 in the 300-meter hurdles and 13.14 in the 110-meter hurdles are national records, and he is the only high schooler to break 35 seconds in the 300H twice. He even ran a wind-legal 12.97, becoming the first high schooler to dip under 13 seconds in any conditions.

On the girls’ side, Mariah Maxwell (Texas signee) brings US #1 marks in both the 100m (11.11, US #8 all-time) and 200m (22.44, US #4 all-time). Her sister Mia Maxwell, a four-time high school national champion, and 14-year-old phenom Melanie Doggett, who holds age-group world records, make the women’s sprints equally electric.

How to Watch

The 2026 Nike Outdoor Nationals will be broadcast live from Hayward Field via Runnerspace.com, with free streaming available Thursday through Monday. Live timing and results are available on Watch Athletics and MileSplit.

A Week of National Championships

NON is not the only game in town this week. New Balance Nationals Outdoor in Philadelphia and adidas Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina, are also underway, creating an unprecedented week of high school track and field across the country. Meanwhile, the USATF U20 Championships share the Hayward Field track, allowing the nation’s best high school athletes to compete alongside college freshmen and other under-20 competitors. Earlier this month, Under Armour Nationals also drew top prep talent, making June 2026 one of the most packed months in high school track history.
