The WNBA is taking a unique approach to its historic 30th season celebration with the WNBA Legacy Trail — a first-of-its-kind merchandise program that unveils new product drops every month throughout the season, honoring the league’s past, present, and future.
Launched as part of the league’s Season 30 festivities, the Legacy Trail features a rotating lineup of licensee collaborations with both legacy brands and new partners. Each drop is designed to celebrate a different chapter of the WNBA’s 30-year journey, from its 1997 inaugural season to the current era of unprecedented growth.
The first wave of Legacy Trail partners included La Crema, Nike, and Mitchell & Ness, with each brand bringing its own aesthetic to WNBA merchandise. The program also ties into the WNBA’ Court Origins Nights, a retro-themed series featuring the league’s original franchises — the New York Liberty, Los Angeles Sparks, and Phoenix Mercury — in throwback matchups that lean into 1997-era branding and design.
On the 30th of each month during the 2026 season, fans can expect a new product collaboration to drop. The initiative is part of a broader Season 30 campaign anchored by the tagline “There’s More Where Thirty Came From,” and supported by three films, a Top 30 Plays series, and immersive experiences designed to connect generations of fans.
All Legacy Trail products are available through the licensees’ direct-to-consumer channels and participating retail partners. Fans can follow along with each drop by tracking the program on WNBA.com and across the league’s social media platforms.
