Two of Ligue 1’s most historic clubs — Olympique Lyonnais and AS Monaco — unveiled their new home kits for the 2026-27 season on the same day, offering fans of French football a double dose of fresh merchandise just weeks before the new campaign kicks off.
Olympique Lyonnais 2026-27 Home Kit: Blue Sleeves Return After 30 Years
Lyon’s new home shirt, manufactured by Adidas, brings back blue sleeves for the first time in three decades. This marks a major visual shift for OL, whose recent kits have used primarily red and white sleeves. The return to blue pays homage to the club’s classic look from the 1990s and early 2000s, a period that saw Lyon rise to prominence in French football.
The shirt retains Lyon’s traditional red base with a bold blue and white stripe across the chest, reflecting the club’s iconic lion crest colors. The Adidas three stripes appear on the shoulders, while LDLC Asset Management continues as the primary shirt sponsor. The kit is available now through the Lyon official store and at Sports Direct, where the Adidas Lyon home shirt for 2025/26 has already been a top seller.
Lyon also recently unveiled their 2026-27 away kit on May 12, 2026, giving supporters a full range of options for the upcoming season. The away shirt features a complementary design that shows Adidas’ commitment to refreshing OL’s entire matchday wardrobe.
AS Monaco 2026-27 Home Kit by Mizuno: Tradition Meets Refinement
AS Monaco’s 2026-27 home kit continues the club’s legendary red-and-white diagonal design, first introduced in 1960 and famously designed by Princess Grace of Monaco. The new shirt features the “Rouge et Blanche” diagonal at a 55-degree angle, with subtle tonal striping running through the red section adding texture to the fabric. The white sections are kept clean and classic.
A notable addition this season is the return of the polo-style collar, featuring a V-shaped insert at the front with a small princely crown detail. The sleeve cuffs include red and white trim that echoes the colors of the Principality flag. The AS Monaco crest appears on the left chest, with the Mizuno logo on the right and APM Monaco as the main shirt sponsor. The back of the shirt is predominantly white, with Bang & Olufsen branding across the upper back.
The kit is made from 100% recycled polyester, produced with sustainability in mind, and is paired with red shorts featuring white side panels and red socks.
Where to Buy
Both kits are available through the respective club stores and major sporting goods retailers. Lyon fans can shop at the OL Store or through Adidas outlets, while Monaco supporters can find the new Mizuno-produced kit at the AS Monaco boutique and at classic football shirt retailers.
