Why a White Tela Is the Right Base

Sublimax is a trade name for a white polyester tela made for sublimation. The white base is the point: the cloth arrives blank so the print, not the bolt, supplies every color.

A Blank Canvas on the Roll

Because the base is white, one roll can become a hundred different designs. Team A gets a red and black kit, Team B gets blue and gold, and both run off the same cloth. There is no need to hold dyed stock for every club color, which keeps a tailoring shop flexible on small and mixed runs.

Built for Polyester Dye

Sublimation ink only bonds to synthetic fiber, and polyester is the workhorse. Sublimax is a polyester tela for that reason. Heat opens the fiber, the ink turns to gas and settles inside the cloth, and the color ends up part of the fabric rather than a layer sitting on top of it.

Sublimax suits full sublimation work: sports jerseys, PE and intramural uniforms, esports and team kits, cycling and running wear, event shirts, and lightweight printed display cloth. Message us with the garment and the sport and we will confirm the weight and grade that fits the job.

How it prints

Ink Becomes Fiber in Three Steps

Sublimation is a digital print method. The design is printed on transfer paper, then heat moves the ink into the cloth. Here is the short version.

Print the Paper

The full design is printed in mirror image onto transfer paper with sublimation ink. Detail, gradients, and photo elements all live on the sheet.

Heat and Press

Paper meets cloth under a heat press. Around 180 to 200 degrees Celsius the ink turns from solid to gas and drives into the open polyester fibers.

Ink Locks In

The cloth cools and the fiber closes, trapping the color inside. The print stays soft to the touch, holds fine detail, and does not crack or peel the way a surface layer would.

The best results come from a white polyester base like Sublimax, a fine transfer paper, and a stable press. Blends with cotton or a heavy surface texture dull the color, because there is no polyester to hold the dye.

Market names

Sublimax and the Names Sold Beside It

Sublimax is one of several trade names for white sublimation tela in the Philippine market. Online listings bundle these names together, so here is what each one broadly signals. The names are seller coinages, so always confirm the real weight, blend, and hand on the roll before a big cut.

Soft poly

Polydex

A soft polyester tela with a smooth matte face, the common name behind many sportswear programs. It reads well on jerseys and shorts and takes a crisp print. We compare it with stretch knits in our Polydex versus Dri Fit guide.

Heavier hand

Fullmax

A name used for the fuller weight end of the white tela line. Heavier cloth drapes with more body and feels more substantial in the hand, which suits garments that should hold a structured shape rather than hang light.

Stretch

Spundy

A name that signals a spandex or elastane blend. The added stretch gives recovery and a second skin feel, so it suits fitted sleeves, cycling and running panels, and any piece that must move and bounce back with the body.

Fine and bright

Microshiny

A finer micro knit with a light sheen on the face. The tighter surface can sharpen print detail and give a subtle polish, so it is picked where a slightly glossier finish is wanted over a flat matte look.

We supply and price the Sublimax line and can advise on grades. When a listing mixes several names in one title, ask for the exact weight in GSM and the fiber content before you order; the name alone does not fix the cloth.

Weights

Reading the GSM Ladder

GSM means grams per square meter, the weight of the cloth. It is the single best guide to how a tela will feel and hang. The wider market runs white sublimation tela from about 140 GSM up to 200 GSM. We stock the two heavier Sublimax weights for sportswear that must hold up.

Lighter telaHeavier telaOutlined bars are the weights we stock.

180 GSM Sublimax

The standard sportswear weight. Solid enough to hold a jersey shape and a clean print, light enough to stay comfortable in tropical heat. This is the weight most teams and schools settle on for jerseys, shorts, and PE uniforms.

200 GSM Sublimax

The heavier option. More body in the hand, a more opaque face, and a firmer drape, so it suits structured uniforms, heavier shorts, and garments where a substantial feel is wanted. It also helps hide show through on lighter prints.

Not sure which weight fits your run? Tell us the garment and the sport and we will recommend a weight before you commit to cloth. Width can vary by bolt, so confirm the cutoff you receive when you order, and ask for one dye lot across an entire project.

Uses

What Sublimax Tela Is Used For

Any garment or printed piece that wants full color from edge to edge can run on a white sublimation tela. These are the builds we see most.

Sports Jerseys and Kits

Basketball, volleyball, and soccer kits with team graphics across the whole panel. Sublimax takes dense color and fine detail without a heavy feel. See our custom basketball jerseys.

Running and Cycling Wear

Singlets, cycling tops, and running kits where light cloth, airflow, and a bold all over print all matter. The stretch grades suit fitted panels.

Esports and Team Jerseys

Detailed sponsor boards, gradients, and character art print cleanly, which makes the tela a favorite for esports and varsity jerseys.

School PE and Intramurals

House colors, section names, and sport tags across a full batch of uniforms from one white bolt, which keeps a school order simple and consistent.

Company and Event Shirts

Fun run shirts, company play day tops, and event merchandise that need bright color fast and at volume, without a minimum color run per design.

Printed Display Cloth

The lighter end of the line also runs as soft printed cloth for backdrops and display dressing, where a full color image is wanted on a light, drapey fabric.

How to buy

By the Kilo or by the Roll

White sublimation tela in the Philippine market usually sells two ways. We quote both so a small tailoring job and a factory run can both be served.

By the Kilo

Sold by weight, a practical fit for small shops and mixed designs. You buy the kilos you need and cut across the designs on the bolt, which keeps a small shop from tying up capital in a whole roll.

By the Roll

The factory route. A full roll gives you one continuous lot for a large run, the steadiest shade and hand across thousands of pieces, and the lowest cost per kilo at volume.

Confirm the Weight

Ask for the GSM in writing before you order, and compare weight to weight. A lighter tela can look cheaper per kilo while needing more cloth per garment.

Keep One Dye Lot

White base still varies a shade between production runs. Buy the whole project from one lot so jerseys and shorts never drift apart under the light.

Cut Continuous

For multi piece orders ask for one continuous length. Seams across a large jersey panel show through a print, so a single cut keeps the artwork clean.

We do not publish a fixed kilo rate because it moves with the weight, the grade, and the volume on the day. Message us with your quantity, weight, and color needs and we will quote the current Tagum City rate, plus a pickup or ship date.

Questions

Questions Buyers Ask Us

Straight answers on the fabric, the weights, the units, and pickup.

What is Sublimax tela
Sublimax is a trade name for a white polyester tela made for full sublimation printing. The cloth is supplied blank, and the print supplies every color, so one white bolt can carry many different designs. We are an authorized dealer and distributor of Sublimax from Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
What GSM weights does Sublimax come in
We stock the 180 GSM and 200 GSM variants. Across the wider Philippine market, white sublimation tela is sold from about 140 GSM up to 200 GSM. Pick 180 GSM for most jerseys and PE uniforms, and 200 GSM when you want a heavier, more structured cloth.
Is Sublimax sold by the kilo or by the roll
Both. We quote by the kilo for small shops and mixed design runs, and by the full roll for large single lot production. Message us with the quantity and weight you need and we will quote the current rate for each.
What is the difference between Sublimax and Polydex
Both are white polyester telas for sublimation, and the names come from different suppliers rather than from a fixed spec. What matters is the weight, the blend, and the hand on the roll. We supply the Sublimax line and can compare it with Polydex for your garment in our Polydex versus Dri Fit guide.
Can Sublimax take a printed design or is it plain
It is plain white by design. Sublimation heat turns the ink to gas and drives it into the polyester fibers, so the color becomes part of the cloth. That gives full color, edge to edge prints with fine detail that stay soft and do not crack or peel, which is why the base is left white.
