Municipality of Mabini – Davao De Oro

The Municipality of Mabini is a charming municipality situated in the western part of Davao de Oro province in the southern Philippines. It is bordered by the towns of Maco to the north, Pantukan to the east, and Compostela to the south. The town’s economy is mainly driven by agriculture, with banana, coconut, and abaca as its major crops. In addition, It is famous for its beautiful beaches, including White Sand Beach and Tagugpo Beach. The town also celebrates its annual Kaimonan Festival, which showcases its rich culture and history.

Interestingly, the Municipality of Mabini has a history of name changes. It was previously known as Cuambog and Dona Alicia before it was officially named Mabini, in honor of the Philippine hero Apolinario Mabini, who played a crucial role in the country’s struggle for independence from Spanish colonial rule.
